Dr Terje Peetso joined the Unit Health and Wellbeing in DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology in 2011. Her main responsibilities are related to the coordination of the implementation of the eHealth Action Plan 2012 -2020 as well as the overall coordination of the policy group in the Unit. In 2014 she was the EU Fellow in the University of Southern California, USA, where her research focus was on the obstacles which hinder the introduction eHealth in healthcare systems.
Dr Peetso has been working in the European Commission since 2003 and holds a diploma in medicine from the University of Tartu, Estonia.
Charles Lowe is Managing Director of the Digital Health & Care Alliance (DHACA), an Expert Reviewer for the EC, a Contributing Editor to www.telecareaware.com, organiser of the London Health Technology Forum, and immediate past President of the Royal Society of Medicine’s Telemedicine and eHealth Section. He chairs Citizens Online, the digital inclusion charity, too.

Zoltán Horváth, Director of the EIT Digital Budapest Associate Partner Group, graduated as a teacher of mathematics, physics and computer science in 1986 and received his Ph.D. in 1996 from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. He has been teaching at the university since 1986 and is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Informatics as well as Head of the Department of Programming Languages and Compilers. Before he was appointed as Dean, he had been Vice-Rector for International Affairs since 2010.
