Sandor Bekasi graduated as a medical doctor in 2008 and as a health care manager in 2014 from Semmelweis University (Budapest, Hungary). He was a research fellow at the University of Heidelberg (Heidelberg, Germany) and a DAAD-scholarship holder of the Technical University (Munich, Germany).
After years of research in the field of molecular oncology his interests turned to modern patient management especially in primary care. He started to experiment with different mobile and telemedical methods to find optimal solutions for medical ICT, patient engagement, virtual visits and health gamification. Between 2014-2015 he was the leading medical expert of a workgroup responsible for the establishment of a national medical mobile application framework (MeNTA) in Hungary.
He is involved in health technology start-ups in Hungary, the UK and Singapore. As an mHealth Consultant, he is a speaker of different international and Hungarian conferences on personalized care, including the ERRIN Brokerage Events of the European Union. He is also a contracted expert of the European Commission for mobile health.
