Nuno Godinho

Nuno Godinho is the General Manager for Software, Europe / SW CTO, Europe working for GE Healthcare. In this role he oversees all software development done in Europe in the Healthcare area, mainly focusing on the Cloud and Industrial Internet. Part of the creators of GE Health Cloud concept spends a lot of his time working on creating this new Cloud offering for the Healthcare industry which will enable more and quicker innovation.

Nuno has 16+ years experience working in corporations of all sizes and industries like Banking, Healthcare, Retail, Telco, Insurance and Travel among others, from Developer to CTO and CIO. Deeply technical and hands-on while at the same time extremely focused on achieving business results. Strong believer that IT should be transparent in an organization and provide the required agility allowing the business to be more successful. Excellent track record of achieving the highest quality in delivering proposed results. First-class technology, business and organizational skills with the ability to consistently deliver the highest quality work. Recognized Thought Leader in the industry and invited to be a speaker in several industry major events like Cloud Banking Europe 2015, Software Architecture Conference and Microsoft TechEd Conferences, has been lately working in Cloud (Azure, AWS, Google, Rackspace, Predix and others), BigData (beyond the shell of Hadoop and more into the Predictive Analytics, Streaming Analytics and other types with the goal of making it really a way to provide better Business Insights for the companies) and IoT.

Finally, he has a huge passion for learning and sharing his learnings, which has been recognized by Microsoft which has awarded him the Microsoft MVP for the last 9 years starting in ASP.NET and in the last 6 years in Microsoft Azure, is also INETA Country Leader & Leader for several Portuguese communities like PontoNetPT (.NET Development in Portuguese), XAMLPT (Microsoft UX Technologies in Portuguese) and Founder of AzurePT (Windows Azure in Portuguese).
